The Wood Wildcats (Vacaville, CA) football edged the visiting Fairfield Falcons (Fairfield, CA), 42-38 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the American Canyon Wolves (American Canyon, CA) in a non-league game, on Friday, August 29. Wood will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record.

The Falcons (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Sutter (Sutter, CA). The Huskies enter the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Sutter edged Argonaut (Jackson, CA), 56-7, in a non-league outing.
