In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Sun Valley Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls.

The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Charlotte Christian achieved victory over Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Ragin' Bulls clash with the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 25. Hickory Ridge will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Pirates come into the battle with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC).
