North Carolina High School Football - Mount Pleasant over Carson

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), witnessed Mount Pleasant's football squad knock off Carson by a tally of 31-14.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Concord (Concord, NC). The Spiders enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Concord gained a win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 37-7, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 30. Carson will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Colts enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 16-10 non-league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC).
