North Carolina High School Football - Northwest Cabarrus sneaks past Mount Pleasant

September 12, 2024: Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124

The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans football squad scored 16 points and limited the host Mount Pleasant Tigers to 14 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host South Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A test on Friday, September 20. Northwest Cabarrus will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 41-14 non-league loss to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Mount Pleasant drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to meet the Colts in a non-league test on Friday, September 20. The Colts come into the test with a record of 0-4. West Stanly lost 38-37 in their recent non-league test against North Stanly (New London, NC)
