August 24, 2023: Waynesboro, GA 30830 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) and the host Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA), witnessed Briarwood Academy's softball squad tip Edmund Burke Academy by a count of 7-3.
The Buccaneers now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Glascock County for a non-league match on Monday, August 28. Briarwood Academy will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Harlem (Harlem, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.
