August 24, 2023: Savannah, GA 31401 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA) and the host Veritas Academy Gryphon (Savannah, GA), saw St. Andrew's's volleyball squad beat Veritas Academy by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, St. Andrew's upgrades its record to 3-3 on the year. The Lions travel to Valwood (Valdosta, GA) to play the Valiants in a GIAA 2AAA bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Valiants go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Valwood won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Creekside Christian Academy (McDonough, GA)
The Gryphon now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Augusta Eagles for a non-league bout on Friday, August 25. Veritas Academy will play a squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA). The record now stands at 1-1.
