Pennsylvania High School Football - Northwest Area smashes Cowanesque Valley

The Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) football routed the visiting Cowanesque Valley Indians (Westfield, PA), 51-19 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams (Bloomsburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 3. Northwest Area will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Rams enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 40-14 non-league win over Shenandoah Valley (Shenandoah, PA).

The Indians (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Athens (Athens, PA). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Athens was overwhelmed by Executive Education Academy Charter School (Allentown, PA), 33-14, in a non-league bout.
