In Saturday's non-league contest, the Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Lake Creek Lions (Montgomery, TX), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Vipers battle the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans (Austin, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 26. Vandegrift will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 9-10 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX).
