In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Starmount Rams volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.

The Rams (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Granite Bears go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Mount Airy was defeated by Elkin (Elkin, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Buckin' Elks now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashe County for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. Elkin will face a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 1-4.
