Match Summary
Former Nebraska head coach and legend John Cook noted that "teams usually make their biggest jump in performance in their second or third match of the season." This was definitely the case in Siegel's district play opener against the Riverdale Warriors on Tuesday. Although Riverdale played one of the best matches of their early season after losing key starters from last year's senior class, their young team never let down. Siegel, however, executed with excellence, made timely adjustments, and played with cohesively from start to finish. Coach Flowers is proud of the girls and how they continue to improve day in and day out. We got to see how deep our bench was, watching everyone step up and do their part well. The team also believes that our tough pre-season and non-conference week schedule, helped prepare them for district play.
