Match Summary
Our scrappy JV squad managed to pick up our team's first ever victory against our cross-border rivals the Lady Knights, in Gulf Shores, AL! After going winless in their previous six matches, the Phoenix came into the game mentally and physically prepared, we had a game plan and we were able to sweep the undefeated JV Knights in two sets! While close in on-court skill, our girls used superior serving to win the day. We had an effective serve ratio of 108.1 (serve % ace%) in the match, include a perfect 2nd set! We also had a contribution by our two youngest players in the first set - 6th grader Mara Miniclier (who turned 11 today!) and 6th grader Phoebe Jones, who scored an ace and 86% serving on 7 serves!
