Georgia High School Softball - Deerfield-Windsor bested by Southland Academy
August 27, 2024: Albany, GA 31707 The Southland Academy Raiders triumphed over the host Deerfield-Windsor Knights softball squad by a count of 18-8 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Raiders meet the Fullington Academy Trojans (Pinehurst, GA) in a GIAA Class A & AA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Southland Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Trojans enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 18-8 non-league win over Tiftarea Academy (Chula, GA).
The Knights (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 10-0 record. In their last challenge, Southwest Georgia Academy overcame Terrell Academy (Dawson, GA), 12-0, in a non-league challenge.
