The crowd at Wednesday's league contest between the Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA) and the visiting Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA), witnessed Maywood Academy's flag football squad knock off Sotomayor by a tally of 15-6.

The Nighthawks (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bernstein (Hollywood, CA). The Dragons enter the Central contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, Bernstein gained a win over Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA), 32-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Wolves battle the South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, September 4. Sotomayor will attempt to better on its 0-6 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Maywood CES (Maywood, CA).
