In Thursday's league game, the Broadwater Academy Vikings (Exmore, VA) football squad knocked off the host Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), by a margin of 38-29.

The Vikings now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Greenbrier Christian Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. Broadwater Academy will clash with a Gators squad coming off a 50-0 non-league win over Fuqua (Farmville, VA). The Gators record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Chincoteague drops to 1-1 on the year. The Ponies travel to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA) to battle the Knights in a non-league game on Friday, September 5.
