The Sumter County Panthers softball team scored 21 runs and held the host Jordan Red Jackets to 3 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hardaway for a 2A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 2. Sumter County will confront a Hawks team coming off a 9-1 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Hawks record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Jordan moves to 3-4 on the season. The Red jackets host Spencer (Columbus, GA) to meet the Greenwave in a 2A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, September 2. The Greenwave enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
