In Thursday's league challenge, the host Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Tyrone Golden Eagles.

The Mountaineers (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Penn Cambria (Cresson, PA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Penn Cambria was defeated by Forest Hills (Sidman, PA), 3-0, in a league test.

The Golden Eagles now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Carroll for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Tyrone will face a Huskies squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Bedford (Bedford, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 3-3.
