Georgia High School Softball - Jeff Davis bounces Fitzgerald
August 29, 2024: Fitzgerald, GA 31750 In Thursday's league match, the visiting Jeff Davis Yellowjackets softball team scored a nice 16-2 win over the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane.
The Yellowjackets (6-7) will now prepare for their match against Berrien (Nashville, GA). The Rebels come into the 1A D-I Region 1 match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Berrien notched a victory over Worth County (Sylvester, GA), 10-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Purple Hurricane battle the Bacon County Raiders (Alma, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 1 match, on Tuesday, September 3. Fitzgerald will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 5-2 record after their 6-3 league loss to Brantley County (Nahunta, GA).
