In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Westfield Shamrocks volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Franklin Central Flashes.

The Shamrocks (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellmont (Decatur, IN). The Braves enter the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Bellmont got by South Adams (Berne, IN), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Flashes meet the Whiteland Warriors (Whiteland, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Franklin Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record.
