Pennsylvania High School Football - Mohawk Area thwarted by Laurel

Laurel Spartans (New Castle, PA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA), 36-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Laurel advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Bishop Canevin (Pittsburgh, PA) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league match on Friday, September 12. The Crusaders come into the match with a record of 0-1.

Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Shenango Wildcats (New Castle, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Mohawk Area will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 21-0 non-league loss to Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA).
