Scott Eagles (Covington, KY) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds (Newport, KY), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Scott improves its record to 6-3 on the season. The Eagles host Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY) to face the Thorobreds/Fillies in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. The Thorobreds/Fillies go into the test with a record of 5-1. Harrison County won 3-1 in their recent league test against Nicholas County (Carlisle, KY)

The Thoroughbreds now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Boone County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 30. Newport Central Catholic will meet a Rebels team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Walton-Verona (Walton, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 5-2.
