August 31, 2023: Hoxie, AR 72433 The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Walnut Ridge Bobcats (Walnut Ridge, AR) and the host Hoxie Mustangs (Hoxie, AR), saw Walnut Ridge's volleyball squad beat Hoxie by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Walnut Ridge upgrades its record to 4-0 on the year. The Bobcats host Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR) to play the Hornets in a 3A Northeast bout on Thursday, September 7. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 2-3.
The Mustangs now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cave City for a 3A Northeast bout on Tuesday, September 5. Hoxie will play a Cavemen squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Newport (Newport, AR). The Cavemen record now stands at 1-4.
