Georgia High School Softball - Fitzgerald knocked off by Clinch County
August 8, 2024: Fitzgerald, GA 31750 The Clinch County Panthers overwhelmed the host Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers meet the Echols County Wildcats (Statenville, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, August 13. Clinch County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
The Purple Hurricane (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Thomasville (Thomasville, GA). The Bulldogs go into the 1A D-I Region 1 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Thomasville was routed by Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
