Georgia High School Softball - Union County edges Rockmart
September 11, 2025: Blairsville, GA 30512 The Union County Panthers softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Rockmart Yellowjackets to 1 in the Panthers league win on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Murray for a 2A Region 7 test on Tuesday, September 16. Union County will meet a Mountaineers squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-10.
The Yellowjackets (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Cedartown by Cartersville (Cartersville, GA), 2-1, in a league outing.
