In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Sioux Valley Cossacks volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Beresford Watchdogs.

The Cossacks (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against DeSmet (DeSmet, SD). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, DeSmet beat Deuel (Clear Lake, SD), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Watchdogs meet the Parker/Marion Pheasants (Parker, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 11. Beresford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Pheasants enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Canton (Canton, SD).
