In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Walther Christian Academy Broncos volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Christ the King Gladiators.

The Broncos (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgewood (Norridge, IL). The Rebels enter the non-league challenge with a 9-0 record.

Next, the Gladiators meet the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers (Deerfield, IL) in a Chicago Prep test, on Tuesday, September 16. Christ the King will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record.
