Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) and the host Viera Hawks (Viera, FL), observed Merritt Island's volleyball team top Viera by a count of 3-0.

The Mustangs (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Space Coast (Cocoa, FL). The Vipers enter the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Space Coast notched a victory over Cocoa (Cocoa, FL), 3-0, in a league contest.
