The Fernley Vaqueros volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting South Tahoe Vikings to 1 in the Vaqueros non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vaqueros now have a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lowry for a 3A Northern - East game on Thursday, September 18. Fernley will face a Buckaroos squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Debbie Smith CTE Academy (Reno, NV). The Buckaroos record now stands at 8-11.

The Vikings (10-10) will now prepare for their game against Wooster (Reno, NV). The Colts go into the 3A Northern - West game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Wooster went down by Elko (Elko, NV), 3-1, in a non-league game.
