The Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) football tipped the host Ocean Springs Greyhounds (Ocean Springs, MS), 29-28 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madison Central for a non-league outing on Friday, September 20. Northwest Rankin will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 31-21 non-league win over Gulfport (Gulfport, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Ocean Springs drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Natchez (Natchez, MS) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, September 20. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 3-0. Natchez won 14-6 in their recent non-league outing against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS)
