Pennsylvania High School Football - Union Area trounces Shenango
September 14, 2023: New Castle, PA 16101 In Thursday's league match, the host Union Area Scotties football squad scored a big 40-8 victory over the Shenango Wildcats.
In their next game, the Scotties clash with the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) in a WPIAL A Big 7 match, on Friday, September 22. Union Area will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Spartan enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 27-0 non-league loss to Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA).
The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Rochester (Rochester, PA). The Rams enter the WPIAL A Big 7 match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Rochester routed Summit Academy (Herman, PA), 42-6, in a league match.
