In Thursday's league battle, the host Carolina Forest Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Sumter Gamecocks.

The Panthers (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Socastee (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Braves come into the AAAAA Region 5 battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Socastee lost by Conway (Conway, SC), 3-2, in a league battle.
