The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE) and the visiting Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE), saw Anselmo-Merna's volleyball squad beat Sandhills Valley by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Anselmo-Merna upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Coyotes travel to Leyton (Dalton, NE) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, September 16.
