In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Anselmo-Merna Coyotes volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sandhills Valley Mavericks.

The Coyotes (10-6) will now prepare for their battle against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE). The Wolves come into the non-league battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Twin Loup achieved victory over Central Valley (Greeley, NE), 3-1, in a league battle.
