September 16, 2024: Abingdon, IL 61410 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Illini Bluffs Tigers (Glasford, IL) and the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), saw Illini Bluffs's soccer squad knock off Abingdon/Avon by a count of 5-2.
The Tigers (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Pekin (Pekin, IL). The Dragons enter the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Pekin by Morton (Morton, IL), 4-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Quad Cities Christian Eagles (Moline, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 17. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 6-0 record after their 5-1 league win over Tri-State Christian (Dubuque, IA).
