George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Statesmen (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Langley (McLean, VA). The Saxons come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Langley edged Yorktown (Arlington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Generals face the Alexandria City Titans (Alexandria, VA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 17. Washington-Liberty will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Titans go into the test with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Robinson (Fairfax, VA).
