In Tuesday's non-league match, the Northwest Vikings (Grand Island, NE) volleyball squad tipped the visiting Minden Whippets (Minden, NE), by a count of 2-1.

With the win, Northwest improves its record to 8-3 on the season. The Vikings host Hastings (Hastings, NE) to encounter the Tigers in a B District 6 battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 2-7. Hastings lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE)
