New York High School Soccer - Averill Park toppled by Columbia
September 17, 2024: East Greenbush, NY 12061 Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Averill Park Warriors (Averill Park, NY), 9-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Columbia moves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to La Salle Institute (Troy, NY) to meet the Cadets in a non-league test on Saturday, September 21. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 3-3. La Salle Institute 0-0 in their recent league test against Troy (Troy, NY)
The Warriors now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Christian Brothers Academy for a Suburban Council- Gray test on Thursday, September 19. Averill Park will meet a Brothers team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Albany (Albany, NY). The Brothers record now stands at 1-2.
