Georgia High School Softball - Lumpkin County gets by Pickens
September 17, 2024: Dahlonega, GA 30533 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) and the visiting Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA), observed Lumpkin County's softball team get by Pickens by a tally of 9-8.
The Indians (15-8) will now prepare for their bout against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The War Eagles go into the 3A Region 6 bout with a 2-17 record. In their last bout, Chestatee was nipped by Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA), 13-5, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Dragons battle the Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) in a 3A Region 6 bout, on Monday, September 23. Pickens will attempt to advance on its 15-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 14-10 record after their 5-0 league win over White County (Cleveland, GA).
