September 9, 2024: Jasper, GA 30143 The Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) softball routed the visiting Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans (Norcross, GA), 16-1 in Monday's league outing.
The Dragons now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Hall for a 3A Region 6 outing on Tuesday, September 10. Pickens will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 15-0 league win over Chestatee (Gainesville, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Greater Atlanta Christian moves to 2-11 on the season. The Spartans host Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA) to encounter the Indians in a 3A Region 6 outing on Tuesday, September 10. The Indians come into the outing with a record of 11-5. Lumpkin County won 8-0 in their recent non-league outing against Gilmer (Ellijay, GA)
