September 18, 2024: Fort Myers, FL 33913 Gateway Eagles (Fort Myers, FL) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Island Coast Gators (Cape Coral, FL), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Gateway improves its record to 7-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Sarasota (Sarasota, FL) to face the Sailors in a non-league test on Saturday, September 21. The Sailors go into the test with a record of 5-4. Sarasota won 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Out-of-Door Academy (Sarasota, FL)
The Gators now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mariner for a non-league test on Thursday, September 19. Island Coast will face a Tritons squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Cape Coral (Cape Coral, FL). The Tritons record now stands at 1-7.
