In Thursday's league match, the host Iowa Colony Pioneers football squad scored a decisive 57-0 victory over the Lee Ganders.

The Pioneers (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Randle (Richmond, TX). The Lions enter the 5A-2 Region III District 9 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Randle routed Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX), 51-6, in a league battle.

The Ganders now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Texas City for a 5A-2 Region III District 9 battle on Friday, September 26. Lee will play a Stingarees team coming off a 28-3 league win over Terry (Rosenberg, TX). The Stingarees record now stands at 2-1.
