South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA), 16-0 in a league battle.

The Spartans now possess a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rome for a 5A Region 5 battle on Monday, September 29.

With the loss, Lithia Springs moves to 4-11 on the season. The Lions travel to Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 12-7.
