In Thursday's league test, the Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), by a tally of 8-0.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Callaway Cavaliers (Hogansville, GA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, September 22. Troup County will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Cavaliers come into the outing with a 8-10 record after their 18-1 league win over Rutland (Macon, GA).

With the loss, Upson-Lee moves to 4-16 on the season. The Knights host Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to encounter the Tigers in a 3A Region 2 bout on Monday, September 22. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-12. Fayette County lost 14-13 in their recent league contest against Spalding (Griffin, GA)
