The Athens Academy Spartans volleyball squad (Athens, GA), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's league battle with the host Lake Oconee Academy Titans (Greensboro, GA)

With the win, Lake Oconee Academy improves its record to 22-3 on the season. The Titans travel to Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy (Winder, GA) to encounter the in a 1A Area 8 battle on Tuesday, September 23. The go into the battle with a record of 11-10. Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy lost 2-1 in their recent league battle against Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA)
