In Friday's league match, the host Pennington Tigers football squad scored a decisive 46-14 triumph over the Locust Fork Hornets.

The Tigers (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Cleveland (Cleveland, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Cleveland walloped West End (Walnut Grove, AL), 33-26, in a league battle.

The Hornets now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Piedmont for a 3A Region 6 battle on Friday, October 3. Locust Fork will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 40-27 league win over Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-0.
