New York High School Football - Starpoint can't hold off Pioneer
September 19, 2025: Lockport, NY 14094 Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY), 20-14 in a non-league match.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Cheektowaga (Cheektowaga, NY). The Chargers come into the Section 6 B - 2 match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Cheektowaga tipped Lake Shore (Angola, NY), 26-14, in a league match.
In their next game, the Spartans face the South Park Sparks (Buffalo, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 26. Starpoint will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Sparks go into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 32-12 league loss to Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY).
