Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) and the visiting Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX), observed Diboll's volleyball team top Rusk by a count of 3-0.

The Lumberjacks (12-6) will now prepare for their battle against Warren (Warren, TX). The Warriors go into the 3A Region III District 21 battle with a 19-7 record. In their last battle, Warren achieved victory over Evadale (Evadale, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now own a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center for a 4A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, September 23. Rusk will meet a Roughriders team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Timpson (Timpson, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 7-15.
