Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Carroll Tigers (Corpus Christi, TX), 3-2 in a league test.

With the win, Gregory-Portland improves its record to 18-12 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX) to face the Hornets in a 5A Region IV District 29 challenge on Friday, September 5. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 24-6. Flour Bluff won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX)
