The Sweeny Bulldogs volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Tidehaven Tigers to 0 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to El Campo for a 4A Region IV District 29 match on Friday, September 5. Sweeny will confront a Ricebirds squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Freeman (Katy, TX). The Ricebirds record now stands at 14-9.
