Alaska High School Flag Football - Service trounced by Wasilla
September 20, 2025: Wasilla, AK 99654 Wasilla Warriors (Wasilla, AK) followers went home pleased Saturday as they saw their flag football team triumph over the visiting Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK), 48-6 in a league battle.
With the win, Wasilla advances its record to 13-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Colony (Palmer, AK) to encounter the Knights in a Railbelt battle on Tuesday, September 23. The Knights go into the battle with a record of 10-5. Colony lost 49-13 in their recent league battle against North Pole (North Pole, AK)
The Cougars now hold a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bettye Davis East Anchorage for a Cook Inlet match on Thursday, September 25. Service will confront a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to Bartlett (Anchorage, AK). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-10.
