Louisiana High School Volleyball - Ruston can't get by Newman
September 20, 2025: Ruston, LA 71270 Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) followers left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Newman advances its record to 14-3 on the season. The Greenies host Haughton (Haughton, LA) to face the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 20. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Haughton lost 3-2 in their recent league challenge against Airline (Bossier City, LA)
Next, the Bearcats play the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 20. Ruston will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Golden Tors come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Iota (Iota, LA).
